What is truffle salt?

Truffle salt is made by chopping up pieces of either fresh white truffle or black truffles and grounding it in sea salt. The salt will absorb the truffle fungi, enhancing the flavour of the combined two.

What's the difference between black and white truffle salt?

Black truffle has more of a kick too it compared to white. It is often described as a strong and pungent taste where white salt is a lot more mild. White salt is combined with Himalayan pink salt and in rare cases it made with sea salt. Black truffle salt is normally paired with natural sea salt.

Truffle salt vs regular salt

Real truffle salt contains antioxidants which help fight cell disease.

Truffle salt contains sodium which helps maintain healthy fluid level in the body. However, too much sodium can lead to an increase in blood pressure increasing the risk of heart attacks. Truffle salt contains less sodium than traditional table salt making it a healthy alternative.

What are some meals I can incorporate truffle salt in?
